Paul is a road movie enjoyable and funny sci-fi that appeals to all fans of Pegg and Frost.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost made his mark as a duo in 2004 with the success of comedyShaun dead zombie. They collaborated again with director Edgar Wright, Shaun Hot Fuzzin 2007. Since then, I just loved those two guys on the screen. residual comedy double, as Farley & Spade and Martin & Aykroyd, Frost & Pegg delivers on screen chemistry, the humor in such a way that is almost magical when they are together on the screen. Paul seems to be different. Although probably the least funny of the duo’s three games, Paul also has a lot of laughter and not let the fans of the double failure.

Galicia follows the story of two British comic book geeks (Graeme and Clive), that the trip of a lifetime when they finally visit the United States and the Comic-Con. After the conference, attempting to tackle the sci-fi geek for themselves, like a trip across the country who want to get the UFO phenomenon …. including Area 51. Not too far from Area 51 that these two geeks daily life has changed forever.
In the middle of the desert, driving your RV, the two witnesses of a traffic accident. He wants more time to see if they can be helpful, the two were found with a vision that really make a nerd-GASM any hardcore sci-fi geek. While Pegg and Frost have been shown to work well together, at first I wondered how Seth Rogen (Voice of Galicia) will fit in. I assure you, chemistry is nothing wrong and makes very good sense Rogen enough. In his frank and sarcastic way, Paul is somewhat interesting, smoking marijuana, raw, too strange words. I think you want E.T. but for younger adults. Give a lot of laughs throughout the film with Pegg and Frost. Observations of these three provide a lot of funny moments that make it a fun adventure.
If I have a problem with the character of Paul, this is a demanding. Paul has been voiced by Seth Rogen straight. That is, an entry made the post-production or alteration of the voice, just flat-out was Seth Rogen hear. That, somehow I believe that, taken completely attached to the characters because they are always and only Seth Rogen to “hide” behind a mask of a stranger to me. This is not a character is already a character of himself as ET or Gollum. However, do not spoil the movie anyway, and still is as if Paul had a right to relax, smoke a joint with a rough time and have fun.
Pegg and Frost, said self-geek sci-fi, playing essentially only nerdier versions of themselves and do it well. As I said, the chemistry between them is undeniable and they provide some good laughs again. Trio combines with some fun cameos and supporting cast members (Kristen Wiig, Jason Bateman, Jane Lynch, David Koechner, Bill Hader), you have many moments that keep you laughing.
In the middle of all this, too, is a film of sincere compassion and a trip home or to find themselves. Couple that with the humor and the film is sure to put a smile on your face. Holders jokes and references that will appeal to sci-fi geek, has something for everyone. It ‘clear that there are children as the adult version of ET, so it’s more raw and adult situations in it.
All this is still not great film. I can not praise endlessly about it and show that there is no sin. The first thing: Edgar Wright, in fact, lost his third tour of Pegg / Frost. Still fun and entertaining, the film lacks a certain something that made their previous two releases. My guess is that the screenplay and directed by Edgar Wright. Some of that charm is lost forever. Although fun, in fact, Galicia has lost a touch of magic and humor that had thatShaun and Hot Fuzz. This makes the film feel a little flat in places. A relatively inexpensive version of Men in Black with ET. As I said, there are a lot of funny moments, but many fall into the category of fun and worth only a laugh instead of type with laughter for hours. The story itself is quite cliché and unimaginative as well. This “soft”, causing a funny thing in a mild right now. Despite his mild disabilities, Paul was actually provide some laughs and some good entertainment. For fans of this pair last two films, Paul could not end up being the favorite of the three, but always worth watching and does not leave disappointed.
